Tamil Nadu Approves ₹1 Crore Hornbill Conservation Centre at Anamalai Tiger Reserve:

The Tamil Nadu government has greenlit a Centre of Excellence for Hornbill Conservation at Anamalai Tiger Reserve in Coimbatore. Funded through the Endangered Species Conservation Corpus, the initiative aims to protect four hornbill species endemic to the Western Ghats: the Great Hornbill, Malabar Grey, Malabar Pied, and Indian Grey Hornbills.
