India joins UN's Doha meet on Afghanistan attended by Taliban

India is among 25 countries attending the third UN-led conference on Afghanistan in Doha, focusing on improving lives in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan.
India is represented by MEA official J P Singh. The UN denies the talks aim to recognize the Taliban. Criticized for excluding Afghan women, the conference includes the EU, OIC, and SCO. India emphasizes its economic and security interests, combating terrorism, and supporting humanitarian aid, investing over $3 billion in 500 Afghan projects.
