Ukraine's parliament approved Serhii Koretskyi as the country's new Prime Minister during a major government reshuffle. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy nominated Koretskyi, citing his strong experience in the energy sector and his ability to prepare Ukraine for another wartime winter. Koretskyi had served as the CEO of Naftogaz, Ukraine's national oil and gas company, since May 2025. His appointment came as protesters gathered outside parliament to oppose the dismissal of Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, warning that the decision could affect ongoing military reforms during the war.
