MoEFCC observed Swachh Vayu Diwas 2026 on International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies (7 September).
NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava was Chief Guest; awards given to best-performing cities and wards under NCAP.
Compendium of Best Management Practices under NCAP released.
Awards based on 2022-23 framework covering road dust, solid waste, vehicular/industrial emissions, C&D waste, IEC activities.
Emphasis on continuous, citizen-led, mission-mode action and all-inclusive local-body approach to tackle air pollution.
