14th India-Philippines Joint Working Group Meeting on Trade

The 14th meeting of the India-Philippines Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment (JWGTI) was held in Manila on 5 June 2026. Co-chaired by Amit Verma and Allan B. Gepty, both sides noted bilateral trade reaching USD 3.9 billion in FY 2025-26. Discussions focused on infrastructure, digital technologies, pharmaceuticals, film, energy, and customs cooperation. They agreed to expedite the ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement review and pursue a bilateral Preferential Trade Agreement. An interaction with Indian businesses in the Philippines was also held.
