Anahat Singh Wins World Junior Squash Title

Anahat Singh became the first Indian to win the World Junior Squash Championships title (any category).
The 18-year-old top seed defeated Egypt’s Ruqayya Salem 3-0 (11-3, 11-7, 11-9) in the women’s singles final on 25 July 2026 in Canada.
She dropped only two sets across six matches.
Surpassed Joshna Chinappa’s 2005 runner-up finish, India’s previous best.
First non-Egyptian women’s champion since Amanda Sobhy in 2010.
Currently ranked world No. 20 on the senior PSA Tour; had won bronze in the previous edition.
