- India’s first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) to be set up in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on ~350 acres.
- MoU between MP Government and DoT; CM Mohan Yadav to attend; Special Purpose Company to implement.
- Central funding: ₹493 crore (Phase 1); expected investment ₹12,000–15,000 crore; ~5,000 direct jobs.
- Will manufacture mobile phones, telecom equipment, optical fibre, semiconductors, 5G/6G products.
- Boosts Make in India, reduces import dependence and strengthens domestic telecom supply chain.
- Positions Madhya Pradesh as a key electronics and telecom hub.
