  • Bengaluru-Karnataka ranked second among Asia’s AI-native startup clusters in the Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2026, after Beijing.
  • The city placed 15th among the top 40 global startup ecosystems with an assessed value of $153 billion.
  • Bengaluru scored 8/10 in AI-native cluster factor, 9 in performance & R&D, and 7 in funding & market reach.
  • The report was launched at VivaTech in Paris on 17 June 2026.
  • As of June 2026, Bengaluru had 30 unicorns, attracted $39 billion in VC funding (2021-2025), and recorded $46 billion in exits.
  • It hosts 606 AI-native startups (239 funded) and is the world’s second-largest AI talent hub with 600,000 professionals.
