Karthik Venkataraman becomes champion of 61st National Open Chess Championship

Karthik Venkataraman defeated Surya Sekhar Ganguly and Nilash Saha by a narrow margin and got a better score (78) in the Buchholz system tie-breaker to clinch his second National Chess Championship title, which included a decisive win against Mitrabha Guha in the final round.
