Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia wins his 2nd consecutive gold medal at CWG

Bajrang Punia has defeated Canada's Lachlan McNeil to clinch the gold medal in the men's 65 kg wrestling category at the Commonwealth Games 2022.
He has now become the first Indian wrestler to win a gold medal in Birmingham. The Indian wrestler won the contest by dominating the Canadian grappler by a margin of 9-2.
This is Bajrang Punia's second successive gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, after he clinched the top spot on the podium in Gold Coast 2018.
In fact, Punia had also won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, and hence this is his third consecutive medal at the quadrennial event.
