IAF contingent returns after successfully participating in Exercise Udara Shakti 2024 at Malaysia

Exercise Udara Shakti 2024, held from 6-9 August 2024 in Kuantan, Malaysia, featured bilateral air combat exercises between the Indian Air Force and Royal Malaysian Air Force, with both deploying Sukhoi-30 fighter planes.
The Indian Air Force contingent, led by Group Captain Ajay Rathi, participated with seven Su-30MKI aircraft, which were largely produced in India by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) under a license from Russia.
A key feature of Exercise Udara Shakti 2024 was the HOP Exercise, where Indian and Malaysian pilots flew each other's Sukhoi-30 fighter planes to test aircraft performance, share combat tactics, and understand differences in equipment functionality.
