LG VK Saxena nominated Delhi Home minister Kailash Gahlot to hoist national flag at I-Day function:
  • Lt Governor VK Saxena nominated Delhi Home Minister Kailash Gahlot to hoist the national flag on Independence Day, bypassing other senior government leaders. 
  • Previously, the general administration department had declined instructions for Education Minister Atishi to host the flag, as directed by minister Gopal Rai.
