India at 114th International Labour Conference

- Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment and MSME, Shobha Karandlaje, led the Indian delegation at the 114th International Labour Conference (ILC) in Geneva on June 9, 2026. The ILC, the highest decision-making body of the ILO, is known as the “World Parliament of Labour.”
- India reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive growth, gender equality, social dialogue, and workforce welfare. Key focus areas included skill development, digital transformation in employment services, and international cooperation. India also held bilateral meetings with Nepal, Angola, Mauritius, France, UK, South Korea, US, and Canada to enhance labour mobility and skill recognition.
