US Capitol Hosts First-Ever Hindu-American Summit to Highlight Community Issues
  • First ever Hindu-American Summit organised at US Capitol Hill, Washington on June 14. This was the first-ever Summit held for political engagement of Hindu-Americans.
  • The summit aims to highlight the concerns and issues faced by the Hindu community, seeking the attention and support of lawmakers.
  • About 130 Indian American leaders from all over the country -- Florida, New York, Boston, Texas, Chicago and California – representing 20 Hindu and Indian organisations have attended the US Capital for the event.
  • Along with other prominent personalities, the summit has been addressed by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
