India’s Contribution to UNRWA

India announced a $2.5 million contribution to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) on June 11, 2026 — the first tranche of its annual $5 million assistance. UNRWA, established in 1949, provides education, healthcare, and relief to Palestine refugees. India supports a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict and has also provided humanitarian aid, including medicines and 135 metric tonnes of supplies since October 2023.
