The 65th edition began on 18 August 2026 in New Delhi with 108 teams in three categories: Junior Girls U-17, Junior Boys U-17 and Sub-Junior Boys U-15.
Opening ceremony at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Stadium; Chief Guest Air Marshal S. Sivakumar; Guest of Honour weightlifter Lovepreet Singh.
First match: Meghalaya defeated Chandigarh (Junior Girls U-17).
Format: eight groups → group winners advance to knockouts → finals.
