NASA Announces Artemis III Crew

NASA named the prime crew for the Artemis III mission, scheduled for 2027. The mission will test critical spacecraft rendezvous, docking, and exploration technologies in Earth orbit ahead of future lunar landings.

Prime Crew:

• Randy Bresnik (Commander)
• Luca Parmitano (Pilot, ESA)
• Andre Douglas (Mission Specialist)
• Frank Rubio (Mission Specialist)

Backup: Bob Hines. The crew will train on Orion systems. Artemis III, involving NASA and ESA, validates technologies for Moon and eventual Mars exploration.
