INS Mangrol Delivered
  • Cochin Shipyard Limited handed over Mangrol, the third Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, to the Indian Navy on 21 August 2026.
  • The vessel has over 80% indigenous content and is designed for underwater surveillance, ASW, coastal operations, LIMO and mine warfare.
  • Equipped with torpedoes, anti-submarine rockets, radars and sonars; waterjet propulsion aids manoeuvrability in shallow waters.
  • Named after the coastal town of Mangrol in Gujarat and continues the legacy of the earlier minesweeper INS Mangrol (decommissioned 2004).
  • Strengthens Aatmanirbhar Bharat in naval shipbuilding.
