  • Indian GM Pranesh M (19, Tamil Nadu) won the Kanizsa Open 2026 Group A in Nagykanizsa, Hungary. He scored 7/9 after beating Germany’s Vadim Petrovskiy in the final round. Four players tied on 7 points: Pranesh, Israeli GM Or Bronstein, Ukrainian GM Andrei Volokitin and Indian GM Karthik Venkataraman.
  • Pranesh took the title on superior tie-break scores. Bronstein defeated IM Benny Aizenberg, while Karthik drew with Volokitin. Final order: Pranesh champion, Bronstein second, Volokitin third, Karthik fourth.
