Central Vista Redevelopment: Kartavya Bhawan Complex

From 12 July 2026, the Central Vista redevelopment area in New Delhi was officially referred to as the Kartavya Bhawan Complex or Kartavya Bhawan Area.
The precinct includes government buildings, Kartavya Marg, and future structures in the Central Vista zone.
Central Vista is the administrative axis between Rashtrapati Bhavan and India Gate.
The Common Central Secretariat project under this redevelopment will have 10 buildings; three are already completed as Kartavya Bhawans.
The first Kartavya Bhavan was inaugurated in August 2025 and will be fully operational by September 2026.
This follows earlier renamings like Rajpath to Kartavya Path (2022) and PMO complex to Seva Teerth (2025).
