INS Mahendragiri (F38), sixth and final Project 17A stealth frigate, commissioned on 11 July 2026 at Visakhapatnam by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Built by Mazagon Dock with 75% indigenous content; designed by Warship Design Bureau.
Features advanced stealth, automation, multi-role capabilities for anti-air, anti-surface, anti-submarine warfare, and electronic warfare.
Enhances blue-water operations and Aatmanirbhar Bharat in naval shipbuilding.
