Two anti-submarine warfare vessels for Indian Navy launched at Cochin Shipyard
  • Two anti-submarine warfare shallow watercraft vessels (ASWCWC) were launched at Cochin Shipyard, marking the fourth and fifth ships in a series of eight such vessels for the Indian Navy.
  • The 78-meter-long vessels, capable of speeds up to 25 knots and an endurance of 1,800 nautical miles, will be named INS Malpe and INS Mulki upon commissioning, and are designed to accommodate indigenously developed sonar for underwater surveillance.
