ISRO to Launch EOS-05 (GISAT-1A) on 4 Sept 2026

- 2,367 kg Earth Observation Satellite to lift off on GSLV-F17 from Sriharikota Second Launch Pad into Sub-Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit.
- It will operate from geostationary orbit (~36,000 km) for near-real-time imaging of the Indian subcontinent every 30 minutes (5 minutes for priority targets).
- GSLV-F17: 51.7 m tall, 420.5 tonnes lift-off mass; cryogenic upper stage.
- Applications: weather, agriculture, disaster management, security.
- India’s first imaging satellite in geosynchronous orbit.
