PM Modi Launches Shinkhun La Tunnel Project In Ladakh

The Shinkun La Tunnel, launched on the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, is set to be the world's highest tunnel, situated in Ladakh at an altitude of approximately 15,800 feet. The tunnel will be 4.1 km long and will feature twin tubes.
The tunnel is part of the Nimu-Padum-Darcha road project and is being constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) with an investment of Rs 1,681 crore. The project aims to enhance connectivity and strategic infrastructure in the region.
