NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd, Haryana Govt Sign MoU To Set Up Green Charcoal Plants

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited and the Municipal Corporations of Gurugram and Faridabad to establish green charcoal production plants from waste.
The plants will be set up in Bandhwari, Gurugram, and Mothuka, Faridabad, with each plant costing approximately 500 crore rupees. They will process 1,500 tonnes of waste daily into charcoal.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Union Power Minister Manohar Lal, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, and Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies Subhash Sudha.
