EPFO Launches Centralised IT Platform CITES 2.01

Digital Overhaul: Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched the CITES 2.01 platform, migrating 340 million member accounts from 120 decentralized databases into a single national interface.
Financial Upgrades: The FY2025–26 EPF interest of 8.25% (worth ₹1.44 lakh crore) will be credited by July 15, 2026. The manual auto-settlement limit for advance claims has risen from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh.
Key Features: The platform offers real-time error alerts, dynamic interest calculations up to the actual payment date, and a revised withdrawal framework allowing members to withdraw up to 75% of balances.
