Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Youngest Half-Centurion in Duleep Trophy
  • Fifteen-year-old East Zone batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to score a half-century in Duleep Trophy history on 31 August 2026. He reached fifty in 42 balls and scored 92 off 81 balls (7 fours, 7 sixes) in the semi-final against Central Zone in Bengaluru.
  • At 15 years and 157 days, he broke Laxman Singh’s 1969 record. A day earlier he had become the tournament’s youngest captain after Ishan Kishan’s injury.
