World Coconut Day 2026: Celebrating the ‘Tree of Life’ on 2 September

World Coconut Day is observed every year on 2 September. The day highlights the coconut palm, often called the “tree of life,” whose water, milk, oil, pulp, husk and shell serve agriculture, food, trade, economy and daily needs. First celebrated in 2009, it is linked to the International Coconut Community (earlier Asian and Pacific Coconut Community).
