- IAS officer Lokhande Prashant Sitaram was appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs on July 2, 2026, while continuing to hold additional charge as the CBSE Chairperson.
- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved Alok Kumar Mittal as DG BPR&D, Amit Garg as Director NCRB, and Sujeet Pandey as Director SVPNPA.
- Sanjeev Jain (IFS 2008) was appointed as India’s next Ambassador to North Korea.
- Mahesh Muralidhar Pai was appointed MD & CEO of South Indian Bank for a three-year term beginning October 1, 2026.
