Kristen Michal has officially taken office as the new Prime Minister of Estonia

- Kristen Michal, Chairman of the centrist Reform Party, was sworn in as Estonia's new Prime Minister by President Alar Karis on July 23, 2024, succeeding Kaja Kallas.
- The Riigikogu, Estonia's parliament, approved Kristen Michal to form a new government with a majority vote of 64 out of 101 members, continuing the coalition with the Reform Party, Social Democratic Party, and Estonia 200.
- A first-time Prime Minister, Kristen Michal has held various significant roles, including Minister of Justice, Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure, and most recently, Minister of Climate. He has been a member of the Riigikogu for multiple terms.
