IAS officer Manoj Kumar Singh takes over as Uttar Pradesh chief secretary

- Manoj Kumar Singh, a 1988-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the new chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh, succeeding Durga Shankar Mishra, a 1984-batch IAS officer.
- Prior to this appointment, Singh held various significant positions including the agriculture production commissioner, infrastructure and industrial development commissioner, and additional chief secretary of the Panchayati Raj department in Uttar Pradesh.
- The official statement confirming Singh's new role highlighted his extensive bureaucratic experience and his previous contributions to key sectors in the state administration.
