The Indian Coast Guard commissioned “Adamya,” the first of eight Fast Patrol Vessels built by Goa Shipyard Limited, on 26 June 2025. Featuring advanced controllable-pitch propellers (CPP) and indigenous gearboxes, the vessel enhances maneuverability and operational flexibility for missions such as coastal security, search-and-rescue, and anti-smuggling.

On 24–25 June 2025, the Indian Navy hosted the IONS Working Group Meeting on Maritime Security (IWG-MARSEC) in New Delhi. Naval representatives from 13 Indian Ocean region navies—including Australia, Bangladesh, France, Kenya, and others—met to coordinate on regional maritime security, capacity-building, and cooperative operations in the Indian Ocean.

Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has announced that Poornima University and Rajasthan University will co-host the fifth edition of the Khelo India University Games in Jaipur this November. Over 4,000 athletes from more than 200 universities are expected to participate in these multi-sport university-level national championships, first held in February 2020.

Now active at +91‑7289001515, the bot provides real-time assistance on portal services via WhatsApp, enabling seamless, interactive access to information and schemes for youth.

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved ₹3,626 crore for the Pune Metro Phase‑2 project, including corridors 2A (Vanaz–Chandani Chowk) and 2B (Ramwadi–Wagholi/Vitthalwadi), extending the Phase‑1 line. Stretching over 12.75 km with 13 elevated stations, the expansion will connect key Bengaluru-and Pune-adjacent IT hubs and fast-developing suburbs. The project aims for completion within four years.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (SMFCL), India’s first dedicated Non‑Banking Financial Company for the maritime sector. Previously known as Sagarmala Development Company Limited, SMFCL will now help finance infrastructure projects under the Sagarmala initiative, aiming to modernize ports and coastal logistics.

The Union Government has revamped the Sugamya Bharat App to enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities (PwDs) and senior citizens. The updated platform offers a more intuitive interface, streamlined navigation, and upgraded features to better assist users in identifying and reporting on accessible infrastructure nationwide.

Marking a milestone for horticultural exports, APEDA and the Punjab Horticulture Department flagged off India’s first consignment of one tonne of rose-scented litchi on 23 June 2025. The consignment departed Pathankot for Doha, Qatar, demonstrating India’s growing competence in exporting niche, high-value produce.

The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the establishment of the International Potato Centre’s South Asia Regional Centre (CSARC) at Singna in Agra. The new centre, under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, aims to enhance food and nutrition security, increase farmers’ incomes, and generate jobs by improving productivity and value addition in potato and sweet potato through better post-harvest management and research.
